Detection note
HR-ESI-MS also produced fragments 537.08291 and 269.04462.Yellow amorphous powder was obtained. Adding NaOH caused a bathochromic shift to 287 and 522nm indicating its anthraquiononic naure. The researchers thought that this compound may be an artefact formed during the isolation procedure of the dimeric-pre-anthraquinone precursor flavomannin.
